grounding the shack

There is an article in "73" magazine dealing with grounding equipment in
the shack. The author of the article states that if the shack is to be
located above ground level (mine will be on the third floor) that special
techniques will be required to insure adequate grounding. I was planning
on using the method of grounding described: braid from equipment to ground
plate, then #6 stranded wire to grounding rods, but I don't know what the
"special techniques" are. The author stated these were beyond the scope
of the article. Could I get some help on this?
