Mike,
I always look forward to hearing the guys checking into the
Saturday morning net running their 2 mw "ray guns." It never fails to
amaze me how such a small amount of power consistently gets the job done,
and it provides real incentive to think about more efficient antennas.
You guys are consistently 349 to 449 on my end.
Incidently, I tried checking in with 5 mw, but no one heard me last
Saturday. I second the opinion that folks listen for the teeny signals
around 7040. I'm sure that even some QRP'ers assume that extremely light
signals = poor chance of contact. It may just mean that the guy is
running right at the microwatt level.
Milliwatting continues to be a real thrill. I hope others will
join in the fun. 72,
Paul
