Murphy Lives!

I got a very LATE start on this sprint. Finally got on the air from my
driveway using an ARK-40 fed into a Hustler 40 meter mobile whip with 2
radials clipped onto the ball mount on the rear of my Toyota van. This
vertically polarized, air-cooled, omnidirectional dummy load did quite well,
netting me a total of 5 QSOs including W1FMR (NE #1) and NG1G (NE #2)! Also
worked W4OEL, Sheldon, in Mechanicsburg, VA.

Not bad, actually. I was on the air for a total of 45 minutes and had a great
time despite the torrential rain, bad location (down in a valley) and
marginal antenna system.

Hey, Fitton....when we gonna do this again!

72 es 73 to all

Rich
