I had heard of such devices, and now here they are!

Does this mean a practical active filter that could work at common IF
frequencies? Does it mean goodbye to crystal filters? (Maybe dynamic
range is a question).

Interesting possibilities. I had been thinking of building a CW crystal
filter for my old Signal/One CX7A (8.8 MHz IF, probably custom ground
crystals). Would this be another possibilty? What sort of precautions
must one take using such opamps at radio frequencies?
