Yeah, it's jumpered correctly. Perhaps tonight I'll do some work on it
again. Right now I've been having too much fun with the '817 on 20m PSK to
fool around much with the Scout and 40m.

Subject: Is the MFJ balun correctly jumpered into the circuit?

I just remembered the most common fault in Field Day set ups with parallel
lines, and tuners with built in baluns. Most of the MFJ Tee tuners have a
dotted line on the back between two of the binding posts. This dotted line
tells you ,you MUST have a jumper wire there for the balun to work
correctly, and you hook up only to the posts marked BAL. or balun, etc. 2
years ago, I found someone had Disconnected the jumper from my Dentron tuner
at Field Day and could not figure why he could not tune up!
