You posted that you were on 40 meters at 6:45 Central Time hoping to make a
contact with your new K1.
I heard you at 7:31 CST on 7043 kHz and you were a solid RST 579 here in
Oklahoma. Called you, but no response. Then you said you would QSY up due to
QRM. I called you again at 7045 kGHz, but no luck. Then heard KR2F call you,
but you didn't answer him either.
Looks as if there may be a problem on the K1 receive side. Hope you get it
solved. That's a great little rig.
