1. Used my "super modified" K1. The RX and narrow filter mods worked
great. Also followed some instructions from Gary, AB7MY to tweak the
TX. I now get 6-7 watts on either 40 or 20 with a 12.5V gelcell, and
each band is within 0.5W of each other. Thanks Gary! (For the sprint I
ran 2W with 8 AA NiMH batts. 2.5 lbs for key, K1, batts and
headphones) I'm very pleased with how my K1 works for these events.
Now for a 4 band board.
2. Worked Ed, WE6W. Haven't heard Ed in a long time--welcome back Ed,
hope we here more of you in up and coming events.
3. But the real biggie--Logged Jim AL7FS, 339 both ways. Think of
that CO to AK with 2W into an Attic Dipole!!!
