For stability reasons, you probably do NOT want to build it in the VFO! You
can probably steal power for it from the transmitter, use a dropping
resistor in the B+ line if needed. If you really want to build a power
supply, get 2 6.3 volt transformers ... wire one the normal way (primary
winding to 120 V supply) and connect the second one's secondary (the 6.3
volt winding) to the first one's secondary. Out of the primary of the second
one you will have 120 V isolated which you can rectify for the B+ on the
VFO. You can get filament voltage from the first transformer's secondary.
