Wonder if it is the same fibre optic contractor that is working
in El Paso. Yesterday, a contractor laying fibre optic cable
managed to hit in three locations water mains causing a
loss of over a million gallons of water and shutting down
service in several sections of town - after meeting with
the water utilities people to get maps of the existing
services. 3 weeks ago, the same company hit and broke
a 4 ft water main which resulted in the near death of
several people, closed a section of freeway for hours,
and washed away two houses - of course they said not
their fault and have refused to pay.
And it is supposed to be all in the name of progress.
