Howdy,
Whatever has been said so far about Arkiecon I can double and still miss
the mark. It was great weekend for everyone attending in 2000.
Radio is the topic for discussion. The adjoining hamfest is first-class and
you will meet and enjoy the company of some great folks. The locals as well
as those driving in from far away places. For our grizzled veterans it's
like Pacificon and Atlanticon now, and like Dayton used to be.
Jay Bromley and friends do a super job planning and managing the weekend. I
was honored to be a guest speaker last year and recall my time in Ft. Smith
with a certain fondness.
If my schedule works out, I hope to drive down this year and drag a couple
of St. Louis QRP Society refugees along with me.
