Hi folks,
I have been examining the 450 Ohm feedline that was on one of my
antennas that our recent ice storm brought down. One side of the line is
badly corroded, even green, under the plastic insulation. I don't know
how far the corrosion extends but I have cut back about three feet so
far and no clean wire in sight. I am not sure how this effects the RF
flow but I bet it AINT good. Also it takes a great deal of cleaning to
make it solderable. The other side is like new. Whoda thunk it!! I'm
not going to use it again but thought it was worth mentioning.
