My computer clock drifts some, but the software I use (WorldTime - kind of
an old version) synchs every so often. If I turn it off then the computer
clock will move by more than a few seconds a day. This isn't unusual - most
PC clocks are pretty awful.

the NIST website and sync'd my tube with it. The first time it was off by 17
sec. I re-sync'd about 5 min. later and it was too small a difference to
worry about. It's been five days and after reading this thread checked
again, back to 17 plus sec.!!
