I missed RIck tonight for the first miss of the season. Oh well, life goes
on.

Just wondering though if anyone else experienced the same propagation as I
did here in Wisconsin.......actually I should say we since I think all of
the QRP Cheeseheads missed da fox tonight.
Rick was an honest S9 - S9+10 at the start, hovering right around S9 until
0225z. Then, just like that, one QSO he was S9 and the very next QSO he
was S0 (actually barely audible). His signal never really recovered. I
would hear bits and pieces but thats it. We heard lots of good signals from
5, 6 and 7 land. And, oh, Mac AF4PS was loud here all night and he is in
FL. Go figure, FL is loud in WI but NC goes from blasting in to barely
audible. Ain't propagation FUN!

The band is definitely long at 0200. Just before the foxhunt, like 0157 or
so, I worked 8Q7DV in the Maldives down around 7004 (not QRP of course).
That's 9000 miles from my QTH.

The very same thing happened to me. 579 for the first 20 minutes then nada.
Wonder if he switched antennas.
