Wow - a quick check of google turned up a LOT of manufacturers for that
part, but no 14 pin DIPs. TI has a 20 pin chip carrier, if you really like
pins, but I suspect that won't fit your PC board any better than the 8 pin.
However, the PC board on p69 is for an LM747 op amp, which IS available in
14 pin, well, 14 pin ceramic (==expensive).
Perhaps a little surgery on the board is in order, since Doug seemed to
prefer the 082's based on the text.
