I had the good fortune to have a friend, who works at a nearby Air Reserve
base, share his bounty with me.

A ham of many years himself, he discovered a full box of WTCPT tips of
various types, unused and intact in their blister packs, in a dumpster.
I must have five or six each of several of the more popular tips, as a
result. Well, as my friends in the local QRP club remind me, it should
be plenty of tips to assemble all of my unbuilt kits. :-)

I've been out of the Air Force for almost 25 years, but as an electronics
installation team chief I remember well that it would be easier to put the
toothpaste back in the tube, than to return anything to Supply.
