I would not use the small banana posts (3/8" diameter) for 30 amps
continuous. The larger "5-way binding posts" (about 1/2" to 5/8"
diameter) are usually rated 30 amps max.
Although hard to find, there are even larger posts with amp ratings of
50, 100 or 250 amps. These are nice if your distribution panel connects
to emergency batteries or a large power supply which serves the whole
radio room. "Supercon" is a trade name for the connectors.

Subject: Your Help Would Be Appreciated

Hi Gang:

I am looking (on behalf of a friend) for some binding posts that would
handle 30 amps. Does anyone know where I can find such a thing? These
will
be used for a voltage distribution panel (homebrew). He needs 2 pair
(red/black), minimum.

Thanks,
