Dear fellow technocrats;
I am building the 2N2222/40 rig and I have just completed the VFO and I
have not been able to obtain the frequency range required.
This is due I am sure to the fact that I am using a MV2301 in place of
the specified MVAM109 varactor diode.
I have been unable to locate any data on the MV2301..while I can
empirically determine the value I must change C10 (currently 120pf) to
obtain the tuning range required I would like to calculate the value
(given the capacitance vs voltage characteristics of the MV2301)of C10.
Does anyone have this info they are willing to share??
If possible, can someone offer a circuit to experimentally measure the
capacitance vs voltage curve? I have a good DVM and the cap/inductance
meter (L/C Meter IIB) from almost all digital electronics.
