Touch Sensitive Key(er)

Just completed the touch keyer on Franks web page. (breadboard of course)
..
Seems to be working, hooked a volt meter up to the Tx side of the diode
and when I touch both contacts, I get a small (about 0.3v) out.
Now to hook it up to a transmitter. From the single output lead, it's got
to be straight key only.

My problem is, nowhere that I can find in my Icom 706 manual, is a wiring
diagram for the keys.
Should I connect the output of the keyer to the TIP, or RING, or should I
short the two together?
Any help would be appreciated.
