Howdy folks,

I am putting together some gear for some backpacking trips and trying to
keep the radio portion as light and as small as possible. A few questions:

1) Anybody know of a 17m SSB rig, similar in size and power out to the
White Mountain XCVR?

2) Anybody know of a SSB and CW rig for 20m, size/power requirement above
applies also?

>From the looks of things, the way to get things small is to repackage some
of the well proven board kit CW and SSB xcvr's available....couple them
with other kits for keyer and antenna tuner (the Rainbow).....and place
them together in a single compact rugged enclosure. Weight for all radio
related equipment is 6 lbs. maximum.

Any comments from anyone who has done such? Thanks in advance for your
response.
