If my earlier comments on lightning blowing up my R5 vertical and other advice
concerning grounding antennas accidentally led anyone to believe that antennas
should NOT be grounded, then I am really slipping in the keyboards.
GROUND YOUR ANTENNAS, TOWER, and anything else that may be an obvious
lightning attractor. I wrote an article on how to minimize lightning
problems, diffuse static electricity build-up etc. for QRP-L a few months ago,
which was picked up and printed (with my permission) by a northern Calif. QRP
club.
I have and always have had the utmost respect for lightning.
SO ANYONE READING< GROUND YOUR SYSTEM!!!!!!!
