While in Arizona visiting my father the XYL and I bought each other
Christmas presents.
My present was a Outbacker mobile antenna from the HRO in Phoenix. Never
mind what
I had to buy her. Anyways, On the way home to Michigan I had lotsa fun in
the MI QRP
contest. It was my first mobile operating experience. My rig was a QRP+ and
5 watts to
the bumper mounted Outbacker. I operated only while the XYL was driving or
rest stops, etc.
I managed a total of 26 QSOs while traveling in Oklahoma, Missouri,
Illinois, and Indiana.

stations worked were:

40 meters 20 meters 15 meters

N4ROA N0BF W2KJ
W3TS N4BP N4BP
WA8RXI K1GDH N6MM
W9YYG VE3ELA VE6GK
K8NWD W1GUE K6GVG
K5ZTY NQ7X KU7Y
                WA1QVM
                N1TP
                N3IUT
                N0IC
                KI7MN
                VE6GK
                KU7Y
                HP1AC

I tried 10 meters several times but nada. Lotsa sigs on 80 meters and no
RTTY but I
couldn't tune the Outbacker on the cw portion for some reason.

Thanks to all. 72's
