Gang:
73 Magazine for December 1997 contains an article entitled "Limited
Space Antenna" (pp 27-28). Looks like a fine, light-weight antenna for
portable use.
Calls for two identical coils, as follows:
Take a plastic pill bottle 1 + 1/16" diametre. Make a close wound
coil 2" long of #24 enamelled wire. This is 85 turns.
So far so good. Except I can only locate pill bottles 1 + 1/4" diametre.
And RS seems to be the only local source for enamel wire--but only #22
or #26 :-).
Can anyone say how to use the *available* materials to do the same
thing? Seems to me it should be a piece of cake for someone to figure
out. Would really appreciate any help someone can offer. Thanks in
advance :-).
