Assuming a quiet rural location, reducing your noise figure
on 20 meters from 13 dB to 1 dB will improve your system noise
floor by about 0.8 dB. But, if you live in a rural area, your
noise floor is only improved by 0.02 dB.
There are exceptions--when Jim is looking at the auroral curtain
cutting off radio communications I wouldn't be surprised if his
