I am scheduled to be the N/T Fox this Friday evening (Dec 6, 02:00 to 04:00
UTC). I must change it because I just found out that my Dad and I are
helping to give out awards at a Boy Scout meeting for those who participated
in JOTA with us. We feel this is very important because it helps kids learn
about Amateur Radio.
So I am going to do something different. Since the 2nd hour usually
produces few contacts, and during the week I can't make the schedule earlier
because people are still not home from work on the West coast, I am going
to try the 23:00 to 01:00 UTC slot on Saturday, December 6th. This is 6 to
8 PM EST. I think this does not interfere with the other N/T Fox schedules,
and will give more hunters a chance to bag me. If this time does interfere
with someone else's Fox schedule, please e-mail me so I can change it. I
think that the earlier time will give hunters in the East half of the USA a
better chance (shorter skip), and the propagation stills looks good for the
guys on the West coast during the last hour.
So cancel Friday night for the W2MBY Fox , and change it to Saturday,
December 6th, 23:00 to 01:00 UTC. Frequency will be 7.0425 + or - 2 kHz.
The location is NNJ, antenna is a vert 40M loop, and power will be 5 Watts.
