Larry I would recommend being an ARRL VE. You can get (for free) the
exam software they supply and it is always current. The only thing you
have to be carefull of is NEVER having any way the same exam could be
used as a real test exam. One way to do this is to keep track of the
test generation number (serial number).
Another way is to have the ARRL supply the actual tests, but there is
always the possibility that they could select the same test number.
Since I only make two practice exams it is easy to make sure that their
serial numbers are not used to generate the actual test(s).
