for the 455 kHz IF. It came stock in the Yaesu FT 102,
the Kenwood line since the 830, I believe, and may have shown
up in some Icom gear. It is an SSB filter, 2.7 kHz bandwidth.
Anyone seen one of these on the used market? I sure would like
to find one. I have a K13 (center frequency not close enough)
and a K14 (nasty shape factor), and really want to find the
K12 or V12. I would appreciate any pointers to one of these,
they probably come out of rigs where someone put in the IRCI
filters or some other aftermarket filter in the 455 IF for
SSB. I have found that allowing my ears to tune out QRM is
much better for me than using narrow SSB filters that sound
so restricted. (If I find the MuRata, I may have some IRCI
SSB filters for sale, hi hi.)
