Hi Gang,
I have discovered that the more test equipment one has, the more one needs.
Now that I have a good scope and a working spectrum analyzer adapter, I
really need a workable step attenuator. I notice that there is a relatively
easy one described in the ARRL Handbook, and a somewhat more fiddly (?) one
in a '94 QST. Has anyone tried making these? Has anyone used the Far
Circuits boards for the QST one? Or does someone have a suggestion for a low
cost one from the surplus market (does one exist?) I recognize that the
problem with surplus ones can be that they are designed for impedances other
than 50 ohms. So, gang, can we talk about this?
I recognize this isn't pure QRP, but it is related in the sense that this
stuff is intended to be used to build QRP stuff with!
Thanks,
Preston WJ2V
