Thought the group would be interested in some playing around I have
done with my EMTECH NW-40 that I've had on the air for a few months.
Don't get to do as much operating as I would like, like everyone else
I guess. I live in NC about 400 miles inland from the eastern coast.
Following stations were worked with around 5 watts and a 40m dipole
about 20 feet up on the roof, oriented about NE/SW:

CM8HN (Cuba - lots of them around!), EA4PU (Spain), F5BCZ (France).
DL2OCE (Germany), YT7OM (Yugoslavia), and the best was 3B8CF
(Mauritius Island). Heard lots of others, like the HB9 the other day,
and tried to work them, but get stomped on by the "big guys" quite a
     bit.

QRP does work although I've had better 2m moonbounce signals than a
couple of these guys were! Really like the NW-40 too. Got to put up a
better DX antenna. Thinking about a half square. If any of you have
any suggestions, please let me know.

BTW - have put a TiCK-1 keyer in the NW and it works fine. Sent Roy
the details, but I can provide directly if you need them. I used the
Embedded Research "kit" with the small PWB.
