Fellow qrpers:
Based on the recent write ups I will share this with you.
When I first contacted index labs and inquired about the new improved qrp+ I
told them that I was concerned bedause the rig sounded too good to be true!
And what aabout things that sound too good to be true? yea, right.
Well, I like the little rig. It is the only hf rig that I have and I
am not equiped to trouble shoot or do midifications. I was relying on index
for that or hoping to find someone who wanted to play with the radio a while
and do the modifications for me.
Evidently index labs business expertese was lacking or they just got
an offer they couldn't refuse and went for the bottom line. It's a shame
really, they had the potential and had gotten the qrp++ closer to specs.
Those of you who have access to more information would be doing the
list a service if you kept us informed. Perhaps there has been a
"misunderstanding" or some other form of mis-information. Then again maybe
our faith in index was misplaced.
Credability is a bad thing to lose and ever so hard to get back. It
will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
I think it is time to gear up and start building some kits for the
fun of it and also in self defense.
