Hello All,

I currently own a QRP++. After looking carefully at the specs of the
"new" SGC 2020, and comparing to the Index, I would guess the following;

Basically a repackaged Index QRP++
RF gain is most likely one of the mods floating around.
Noise blanker-upgrade of the noise clipping circuit in the ++?
New Final transistor/output stage.

All else looks the same, so, it looks like an "upgraded" design, with
one important change; sold at all SGC dealers. This means, a dealer
profit margin is involved, which in turn means, they had to cost reduce
the new design. The expensive case, stacked boards, and other items will
have to go.

I would be willing to bet that most of the parts will be
interchangeable. For $595 they cant afford to redesign, just repackage,
and incorporate a few new ideas, while taking cost out.

Comments?
