Fellow Qrpers, first of thank you for all of your kind messages. I got
home at 11:00 after a long, long day that started at 2:00 AM. I checked my
email and there were 20 messages from my friends wishing my father good
luck. It really was touching to see those, and you will never know how
much it meant to me. Thank you.

Now for some really good news. Dad came through the operation in fine
shape. He only needed 2 bypasses instead of 4 as originally thought. The
surgeon was extremely pleased with how it went. He was able to get all
tubes out of him and breathing on his own by 8:30 tonight. My brother and
I are both shocked, as we did not think he would make it, and were prepared
for the worst. Thank you for all of your help.

I will stay one more day and then return to California tomorrow if there
are no more problems. 72, Doug, KI6DS
