Agreed, I'm new at this too and it's still more fun than I thought I'd
have! Last night the dipole "broke", SWR is at 3:1 and I didn't get to
fix it yet. Just got the keyer in the OHR and wanted to play. I was in
the "Ahhh, they'll never hear me" mindset but gave it a try anyway. So
with 950mW and a 3:1 SWR (to lazy to hook up the tuner)I ended up with a
559 from MD to MN! Not bad for "toy" radios, hi.
