What a disaster! I completed only 1 exchange so I hang my
head in shame.

The good news:
KB9NKU, Randal in IL and I had a nice chat starting at 0200z.
We when on for about 1/2 an hour but did get the info across.
There was someone sending some really long dashes on top of
my replies. The envelope for his card is filled out and ready
to go.

KB0ROL, Brad made an appearance at about 0300z. I sent his
info the two times that I heard him but didn't hear any response.

At about 0315 my hand locked up. I have had problems with CTS
and tendonitis in the past (I am a pc programmer) and all at
once I couldn't send anything. The brain said go and the hand
said no.

What I learned -
I need more receive time. At about 0300z the broadcast band
stuff went away but the band filled with hams. My ability to
pick out the individuals was pretty weak.

I need to get some paddles or switch to a keyboard. It was very
frustrating to try to send CQ and have very sloppy dashes happen.
I was using a straight key.

I am willing to try to set up a sched with anybody that needs NY
on the novice bands. Just drop me a note and we can work out
something.

All in all it was worthwhile. That was the longest that I have
been able to get on the air since I upgraded in January.

Other N/Ts need to sign up. I looked at the schedule and it looks
pretty bleak for those of us that live from 7.100-7.150.
