Ron and all,
I don't know if this is good practice or not, but I've been cleaning PC boards
with GC's "JIF-ACTION" contact cleaner for many years with no ill effects. I
spray some on, scrub with an old toothbrush and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Leaves a bit of silicone behind which seems to protect the copper traces as
well.
