Well, I bought my QRP+ from Steve, AB7HI, and have been nothing but pleased
with it. Before that, at the end of Novemeber, I had called Index about
purchasing a new one. I left my name and number on an answering machine. They
never got back to me, so just as well. Steve burned my an "updated" prom, so
the keyer works better, and I have my call at power on. Also, with the new one,
the filter seems to work better. (I have an original, serial #326). Anyway,
great rig, but not Ten-Tec service!
Speaking of Ten-tec, I ordered a new toy from them for my birthday. (Somebody
has to do it). I mentioned I had an old Argo 505, that works great, except for
dial cord problems. They volunteered to send me a dial cord kit, gratis. Now
THAT'S nice service! I didn't even think you could get one.
And speaking of rigs, another contact with the ARK4. It's working VERY well. It
will be part of the "N4JS Afloat" station.
