Yet another 38S lives

I finally finished the basic rig last night. No smoke. Listened for
stations and adjusted TC1. I could only find one peak. I started
removing turns from the secondary of the transformer. I finally got two
peaks with 16 turns. Then I adjusted TC2 for a nice wave form on the
O-scope. Unfortunately 10Mhz it is right at the limit of the scope. I
plan to check the output against a general coverage receiver soon.

I mounted the radio in a Snowchocs metal box, to kind of remind me of the
winter we had. Perhaps I'll name it the -38 special ;-)

BTW Have others had to go as low as 16 turns on the transformer?
