Hi Bob....most likely you're right about the battery. It dosent take
too much to check it...just a voltmeter and an idea what it should read.
I think it takes a 2016 Lithium cell....not too expensive to be sure
you've got it fixed. Swap it out just to be sure.

I just got a nasty bug out of my Qrp+...had an intermittent cap in the
Bfo output circuit, made me crazy 'cause the trouble wouldnt stay in
long enough to catch it. But, finally got the scope on it and waited
for it to fail. 'Turned out to be the series cap out of the Bfo...
a 0.01 mono.

I've not had any luck getting Bruce on the phone out at Index to tell
him of this trouble...not that it's any big deal, but thought it'd be
a good thing to tell him.

So...on we go.
