Hey Gang,
I was working on getting my NC38S, trying to get the bottom end of my
freq. coverage up a little bit. I was using the stock 4.7uH, the lower
end was too low, so I tried the 6.8uH. Then my lower end was way down
around 10.060 or 10.070. So I got some help from QRPers on the list.
Some suggested adding a trimmer cap in series with the inductor, some
suggested to wrap some wire around the inductor to raise the lower
frequ. Then there was changing the inductor entirely. I added a Sprague
Goodman 4-20pF 5mm trimmer cap. I now have my frequ. set to 10.101.3
to 10.128.2. Ah, just right. Thanks Gang, (YALL) come through again,
as always. Thanks again. Best 72 DE Matt, AE4JM
