As I promised last week, I have a new range of kits to announce.
These are Rainbow Kits, from Electronic Rainbow, and Milestone
Technologies will be stocking all of those that are listed
below. They've been selected for QRP and ham radio interest as well
as a few "just for fun."
I decided to inquire about these kits after building a VM-1 voltage
monitor. I set it up for .25V steps surrounding 12V. It's easy,
inexpensive, and is going to be very useful. Current drain
(approximately 80mA when LEDs through 12.5 volts are lit) is perhaps
of some concern outside the mains powered shack situation, but
there's an easy solution-- just add a momentary-on pushbutton and
you can "push to read." It's going to be great for QTTF and Field
Day!
Some of these kits are so cheap we have had to institute a $10
minimum for credit card orders (otherwise the credit card fees kill
us) but if that poses a problem for you we'll still take your check.
