Folks,
I found a simple solution to the 38 Special key-up thump
problem...
Just put a little piece of electrical tape on the bottom
of the "stop" adjusting screw on the back of the key (you
all do use straight keys, don't you?), and the key-up
thump will be muted. You'll have to back off the adjusting
screw a bit after putting the tape on to restore your preferred
action setting.
I've found that this mutes the key-up thump almost completely.
I wonder if it still works when I turn the rig on?
I know I should have posted this yesterday, but better late
than never...
