The ARRL does not give a single band award for 30 meter WAS. Not sure
why, but it is not on the application. It has something to do with 30
not being available to all hams. Maybe it is time to press the ARRL
about this. They do have a separate award for QRP WAS, although it is
not band specific. They do require QSLs, but they don't have to
indicate you were operating QRP! Your signature on the application is
indication you followed the rules.
I am an HF Awards Manager for the ARRL, and can verify cards rather than
you sending them all the way to CT. You might check and see if there is
someone in your location who can do that. They would probably be part
of an ARRL Special Service Club.
Maybe we could get one of the QRP clubs like NORCAL or CQC to give out a
30 meter WAS Award?
