Friends

I am considering using a full-size 40 meter dipole for backpacking use.
It seems like a good idea to erect it at a 45 degree angle to the ground
using a single support (tree) and anchoring the opposite leg close to
the ground. I would bring the feedline back to the base of the tree (at
right angles to the antenna.) Because I've never done this before I'm
curious to know how the antenna can be expected to perform compared to a
horizontal or inverted "V" configuration. Also, would the impedance at
the feedline change significantly? Anybody been there - done that?
