Try building something form a schematic this time instead of a kit.
Stuffing parts onto a PC board per 1,2,3 instructions is sort of like
paint-by-number art. It's fun for a while then you need to streach your
talent alittle. Find a rig or a piece of test equipment project in
schematic form and start rounding up the parts and making the PC boards
and building it from scratch. It's amazing how much planing and thinking
you have to do when no one has worked out all the details for you.
That'll keep you occupied for a while.
