Friends,
Dave Heller's comments are absolutely must-reading for anyone contemplating
the construction of a small diameter transmitting loop antenna. He is 100%
correct. I have been guilty of using NoKorode myself. However, once a
loop is soldered, I take extra pains to clean the solder joint with steel
wool followed by a coat or two of high quality automobile wax. It keeps the
copper and the solder bright and shiny for quite a while. Of course, there
is no telling what is going on inside the pipes themselves.
Thank you, Dave, for your very valuable advice.
