MMA Vertical Vs Screwdriver Vertical

Antenna Folks,

I was wondering, the center loaded MMA vertical, looks alot like the
screwdriver antenna that I use for mobile. The screwdriver is center
loaded with the same coil, Has a 3 foot base and a full size CB Whip
(9ft?).

Would the antenna's function be fairly similar to the MMA vertical?

I built a SLV for when I am not around my vehicle. It's beauty is that
it is light and easy. The MMA would add weight to carry and maybe I
wouldn't use it if not around my car anyway.
