Just reading Digest, and once again noting with volume of trafffic on this
list due to so many requotes, (or just number of messages), that things posted
on Wed. for a Thurs. nite event, just now showing up on Thurs. Nite digest
posting, that I get on Fri.
Thus, the purpose of the last minute reminder of an event is lost, as it comes
the morning after!
Please gang, remember those on Digest only mode.
1) Don't requote the original message, turn off that "feature" of your mail's
reply button. Email is just like snail mail, volume of junk will slow
everything else down eventually, and it seems to be happening.
2) If you are sponsoring an event or publicizing it, we do appreciate a
reminder in our lives, but can't really use if after the fact. POST EARLY,
like on Monday for a Thurs. event, post on FRI. for something on the following
Tues., and it will reach more folks in time to promote the activity.
