Hi Chas, contrary to what you read in the ARRL Antenna
Compendium, moving a balun from the tuner output to the
tuner input does absolutely nothing to change the common-
mode current which is exactly the current that a balun
is supposed to eliminate. Roy, W7EL, author of ELNEC and
EZNEC, has a mathematical proof of this on his web page.
