Well gang..........

It happened. John,N3QOO, met me on 40M to night at 0300 UTC and help me
make my first ever QRP contact. It was great..... I was worried though
because there was some heavy weights on the Freq around us and I was not
sure that John would be able to hear me. Anyway when the appointed time
rolled around I was there to hear my call. I went back to n3qoo and took
a deep breath, I just knew that he would not hear me, and listened. A
long long LONG time passed, must have been for ever, and then I heard him
answer me. NOW what!!!! I had to get my hand to work, I could not copy
at first, then it was my turn to send and I could not get his call
correct. You would think that this was the first EVER cw contact---far
from it.
To make a long story short. The long wait was probably half a second, BUT
it seamed like a life time. We had a good exchange or RSTs 448----448.

Tnx to John and all the rest of you for your help. I hope to work each
and every one of you in the future.

I did make a second contact after John. K7UAQ in Grants Pass, Or and I
made contact with KE8TL but can,t count that one since he went away as he
was sending my RST and I never heard him again.

Lots of fun...........:-)

John , W7RFM
