Haven't posted in a long while. Been on the bench alot. My main project is
I took an old Drake 2 m fm rig ..the tr33c and I fixed it and got it working
then removed the circuit cards and controls from the chasis and have mounted
them in a subchasis inside an old Swan HF transciever that has a solid state
VFO. The darn thing is working. I have a VFO controlled FM transciever. I havent
finished the wiring but it works on rcv anyway. My ultimate goal is to put
in a narrow ssb filter and take the 9 mhz IF and product detect it so I can
operate ssb/cw. The transmitter will be more difficult. Will require a bal
modulator and the class of operation of the amps will have to be linear cl A.
I will probably use a second 9 mhz xtal to filter out the other sb or I will
just leave it as DSB at first. I have all the parts in stock. ..I have another
2 M FM Rig an old IC22 that I need a set of Xtals for the local club repeater..
147.300/147.900. I can trade a pair of packet xtals that came with the rig
namely 145.010 simplex..ANY ONE INTERESTED IN SWAPPING..I dont operate packet.
