You know, you can even get in trouble by using a spelling checker.
Yesterday at work one of the secretaries typed up a message about a NASA
program ... the Goddard Visiting Scholars program ... and ran it through
the spelling checker in the Eudora e-mail program. Well, it didn't like
the name "Goddard" and offered a list of alternative words ... turns out
that the first choice was "Goddamn". Without thinking, she just hit
return. So everyone got a message about the Goddamn Visiting Scholars
program. That's the funniest thing that's happened at work in a long time
.... and on a Monday, when we needed it the most :-).
